Celestial
Peter Morley
“Celestial” - Artist: Peter Morley. Label: Energi Music / Zen Music - first released in 2003. Energi Music Studio, Perth, Western Australia.
An experimental soundscape, "Celestial" takes you on a journey from ethereal serenity to cataclysmic extremes... and back again.
"Celestial" explores the many moods of deep space - the alignment of the mind with the planets, the stars and the whole cosmos.
This the very first CD album created by Peter Morley in 2003. He intended it as a relaxation ‘concept’ album – an aural experience, a ‘cosmic voyage’ – offering (hopefully) a contemplation on our existence in the greater Cosmos.
Gently soaring mesmeric guitar melodies overlay peaceful, yet powerful layered keyboard harmonies. This fusion of traditional and electronic instruments is an exploration of the synthesis between imagery and music.
"Celestial" is influenced by the work of Karlheinz Stockhausen, Pink Floyd, Tangerine Dream, Gary Numan, Peter Gabriel, Vangelis, Robert Fripp and Brian Eno, among many others who have crafted visually-stimulating music. "Celestial" is Energi's debut album.
