In “Zen Mountain Retreat”, Sri Shanthi Bhavana has created a relaxing theme, capturing the timeless sounds and feel of a ‘silent’ pristine mountain environment – a ‘mountain retreat’, enhanced by the natural sounds of such a peaceful environment. It can be used as preparation for meditation, or to accompany meditation practice, as well as just ‘chilling-out’ and relaxing to Zen sounds. "Zen Mountain Retreat" captures the atmospheric sounds of the pristine mountainous environments of Asia

Sri Shanthi Bhavana uses Asian musical instruments and Oriental-themed musical phrases to bring color and authentic Asian tonality to each track: Tibetan Rag Dung Horn, Tibetan and Nepalese Singing Bowls, Goat Bells, Chinese Dizi and Hulusi Flutes, and Chinese Ling Dang (small Goat Bells), Tibetan Sacred Buddhist Prayer Bell (drilbu), as well as the chanting of sacred mantras.

The deeply spiritual aspects of the Asian Mountains - the Himalayas, and the Chinese, Vietnamese and Thai Mountains - that embody Buddhist, Tao, Zen, Hindu and other dharma philosophies are reflected in these musical soundscapes.

Use these subtle Zen sounds and specially-created music soundscapes for quiet contemplation of Self, and one’s own place and purpose in the greater and dynamic natural environment – as a personal meditation, or a quiet contemplation on nature – to focus on life within and out. Through these sounds, relax, unwind, and re-connect to nature, to find true inner purpose (Dharma), to immerse, to seek and find contentment and peace.

Each individual track is designed as an aural exploration into Mind/Body connection with the natural environment of mountains, and can be used as an aid to Zen Meditation, and in developing and manifesting inner peace, tranquillity, spiritual connection and “oneness", bringing spiritual transformation.
